A series of 3 treatments is recommended for optimal results. However, this will vary depending on your skin type, concern, and what you are wanting to target.
Treatments can be performed every 4-6 weeks. It is recommended that we only treat one area at a time so multiple sessions may be required if you wish to treat a larger area.
There is some warmth and discomfort associated with the treatment, however, your Laser Therapist can apply numbing cream prior to treating to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.
Unfortunately, laser treatments cannot be performed if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
There is 3-4 days of downtime associated with the FX laser treatments as the skin will be red, sensitive & warm to touch. It is advised to keep the heat out of the skin and to avoid active ingredients for 3 days post treatment (i.e. no strenuous exercise, saunas, baths, etc.). A cold compress can be used to provide relief, and a tinted SPF can be used to cover any redness on the skin. We also recommend taking an antihistamine the day of and 2 days post treatment to prevent a potential histamine response.
