Petra Mackin (NMW0002002508) Registered Nurse (Division1), general registration is a Registered Nurse with more than a decade of experience working in cosmetic medicine, skin health and aesthetic practice. She is also qualified as a dermal therapist and holistic therapist.

Petra founded NQ Injectables & Aesthetics in 2017, with the clinic transitioning to NQ Aesthetics in 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing Science from James Cook University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Cosmetic Nursing from the Australasian Academy of Dermal Science (AACDS). Petra has also undertaken additional education and training in laser technologies, skin therapies and aesthetic procedures.

Prior to working in aesthetic practice, Petra's nursing experience included roles within the Cardiothoracic Unit and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory at Mater Private Hospital, followed by post-anaesthesia care. She now practises from NQ Aesthetics in Townsville, where she provides consultations and treatments tailored to each individual's needs, preferences and circumstances.

Petra is a member of professional organisations including the Cosmetic Nurses Association (CNA), the Aesthetics Practitioners Advisory Network (APAN), the Aesthetic Medical Emergency Team (AMET) and ARAP. She also contributes to clinician education in her role as a Clinical Trainer with Juv'ae. Petra maintains her professional knowledge and skills through ongoing continuing professional development and evidence-informed practice.

Sienna brings a thoughtful and refined approach to skin and laser therapy, shaped by her early introduction to the industry and inspired by her mother, Registered Cosmetic Nurse Petra Mackin.

Her career began in hairdressing, where she developed a strong eye for aesthetics and a passion for client care. She later worked as a personal assistant to Petra, gaining valuable insight into cosmetic medicine and the inner workings of a clinical practice — an experience that deepened her interest in advanced skin health.

After completing her Diploma of Beauty Therapy at Pimlico TAFE in 2022, Sienna pursued further education in specialised modalities, including cosmeceutical skincare, medical skin needling, diathermy, and laser technologies.

Sienna is known for her warm, professional manner and her genuine commitment to helping clients feel confident and radiant in their skin. She takes pride in supporting each individual on their unique journey toward healthier, glowing skin.

Originally from the Central Coast of New South Wales, Bec began her career in the beauty and aesthetics industry at the age of 19, undertaking her formal training at the Sydney Academy of Hair, Beauty and Makeup.

She spent eight years honing her craft in a boutique salon in Sydney, gaining extensive experience in skin health, client care, and advanced treatment techniques. Her career later took her to the Northern Territory, where she managed the renowned Red Ochre Day Spa at Sails in the Desert Hotel in Uluru — a role that further refined her leadership skills and deepened her expertise in holistic and clinical skin therapies.

With many years of hands-on experience in skin treatment and a strong focus on IPL and laser therapies, Bec brings both knowledge and warmth to every client interaction. She joined our team in 2023 and has quickly become a trusted and valued practitioner.

Bec is passionate about helping clients address their skin concerns and achieve real, visible results — always with the goal of building their confidence and enhancing their natural glow. 

With over a decade of experience in the medi-spa industry, Sarah brings a wealth of knowledge to her role at NQ Aesthetics. Formerly a Practice Manager at Aloki Skin, she now supports the clinic behind the scenes, contributing to administrative operations, marketing, and social media strategy.

Sarah is also the founder of a successful photography business, where her eye for detail and creative flair continues to shine. Her passion for skin health, wellness, and authentic storytelling enriches the clinic’s brand and client experience. As a busy mum of two, Sarah balances professionalism and creativity with warmth and efficiency — and we’re incredibly lucky to have her as part of our team.
